The Voice of Hope Advocate Volunteer was created to deepen this connection between our faith community and our mission here at ECHOS.  This new effort invites church leaders, volunteers, and passionate community members to serve as ECHOS Advocates within their congregations—sharing our mission, running mini campaigns, and building bridges between their church and the people we serve.

As a Voice of Hope Advocate, you are a trusted messenger, someone who can amplify our mission in ways that are unique to your faith community. Whether through sharing our work during a service, hosting a donation drive, or introducing us to your outreach team, your voice helps spread compassion and create lasting impact. Together, we can extend the reach of hope, one congregation, one story, and one act of kindness at a time.

Volunteers in this role provide support to staff and guests during drop-in center hours. You will help create a welcoming, calm, and respectful environment for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Responsibilities:

o   Greet clients as they arrive and help them sign in

o   Assist staff with managing the flow of the space

o   Sit and talk with clients who want conversation, showing compassion and respect

o   Wipe down tables and chairs between guests.

o   Help restock supplies and keep shared spaces tidy.

o   Assist with light cleanup at the end of shift (trash, coffee area, etc.).

We are looking for 2 volunteers from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to assist with managing showers here at ECHOS. Volunteers would be in the shelter, allowing clients to utilize our shower facilities. Volunteers would also assist with the cleaning of the bathrooms.

We are seeking a volunteer to provide lunch to our clients on Fridays here at ECHOS. Lunch can be a simple yet nutritious meal, such as a sandwich, chips, fruit, veggies, and a dessert.

You can drop the meal off the day you sign up at 9:00 am. You do not need to stay to serve unless you sign up as a Hygiene Support Volunteer. 

Thank you for your support in this area. Your contribution will help ensure our clients have a healthy meal to look forward to each week. 

Looking for 2-3 volunteers from 9:00am-12:00pm to assist with managing showers and laundry services here at ECHOS. Volunteers would be a presence in the shelter to allow clients to utilize our shower facilities. Volunteers would also assist in loading washers/dryers with the client’s laundry, organizing supplies and maintaining cleanliness of the bathrooms.
