Sharing a meal is about more than food; it’s about care, dignity, and community. As a member of the Evening Meal Service Volunteer, you will help nourish our shelter guests by serving evening meals in a welcoming and respectful way. Your presence helps create a warm environment where everyone feels valued.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve evening meals to shelter guests in a respectful and friendly manner.
- Pull pre-cooked meal items out of the oven and prepare them for serving (no meal preparation or cooking required).
- Properly store and label leftovers.
- Help track and note food and supply needs.
- Assist with kitchen clean-up, including washing dishes, wiping surfaces, cleaning the dining room, and organizing supplies.
- Work alongside shelter staff and other volunteers to support meal service.
